Yellow Claw - Shotgun ft. Rochelle (Official Music Video) | COTW #45

Yellow Claw may still be relatively unknown in the US, but the Mad Decent trio have taken trap somewhere a bit different with “Shotgun.” What’s so refreshing about this record is that it begins much like an R&B track, pairing Rochelle’s divine vocals to go along with the emotional piano lead and soft drum rolls. The track builds up into a dutchy drop that has horns following right behind the synths to add some great flavor.

To go along with the darker feel to this song, the video tells a very sad story. Rochelle breaks into her [newly] ex-boyfriend’s apartment, goes through their pictures, and begins to reminisce about their time together. Meanwhile, he is at a party having a great time and vibing with an attractive blonde female. The guy decides to continue his night with this new spark of attention and take her home, which then leads to the two finding the very upset Rochelle waiting on his couch….with a gun. His face instantly looses all color as she points the gun at him, then suddenly Rochelle puts the gun in her mouth and the video ends with her pulling the trigger.

Dada Life - Born To Rage (LYRIC VIDEO)

Dada Life are back! After teaching the world the Rules of Dada with their massive album at the end of 2012 and starting their own country! It's time to arrive beautiful and get ugly with what is shaping up to be the biggest track of their career so far.

Having premiered the song live at Electric Daisy Carnival 2013 it's been a closely guarded secret until now. And in true Dada Life style they have released 39 versions of the song.. yes 39 versions of the song personalized for most countries of the world, but they are also running a contest for fans to get their own unique version of the song every day for a month!

The duo have released a lyric video for the USA version which you can see below.

Major Lazer - Jet Blue Jet (feat. Leftside, GTA, Razz & Biggy)

Six months after “Jet Blue Jet” captured our ears from Major Lazer’s Free the Universe album, the dancehall-EDM fusion project has released the track’s music video.

As a visual counterpart for the addictive rhythm, laid back rap and hypnotic vocals, the music video provides a psychedelic experience with blunts, smoke, pretty girls and trippy colors. The slow motion of the vids may seem a bit low-key compared to some of Major Lazer’s earlier videos (namely, “Pon de Floor” and “Bubble Butt”), but its juxtaposition with the deliberately rhythmic beat gives off an interesting contrast in what you hear and what you see.

Fred V & Grafix - Here With You feat Collin McLoughlin (Official Video)

The hype around Fred V & Grafix is growing. Building on the success of the Goggles EP earlier this year, which contained the massive 'Games People Play', the dynamic duo from Devon return with 'Here With You'. Released on the 28th of October.

Keeping it melodic and soulful and with uncompromising dancefloor energy - 'Here With You' features vocals from US songwriter Collin McLoughlin soaring over an anthemic drum+bass backbone. Rocking the floor at Hospitality events, 'Here With You' has been lighting up Fred V & Grafix DJ sets across the land.

The second track on this EP "Minor Happy" shows a more delicate side to the duo, combining a gentle piano riff with glass like snares. A riposte to last years anthem "Major Happy", this track has already been picking up support from the likes of Sub Focus, so expect big things.

CYBERPUNKERS - Shock (OFFICIAL VIDEO)

Yes, you should be shocked, because the two baddest of the bad from Italy are already back with video of your subject Shock, a history of violence and drugs that ends with a very special performance. The issue is part of the EP of the same name that went on sale since Oct 22, via Freakz Me Out Records.

Their latest productions clearly showcase the Cyberpunkers wide musical diversity and willingness to expand their already broad horizon. All three tracks Beyond The Cover, Blow and Shock display the various strengths of this forceful tag-team. We have gripping melodic hooks, we have pumping power-beats and we have sinister vocal messages, but the way this Freakz Me Out Records act skillfully juxtaposes between genres, speeds and moods, definitely reaches new heights on their latest output.
