The return of the robots is imminent, as Daft Punk has confirmed signing with Columbia Records.
We get the true confirmation from the duo themselves from their website in the form of releasing the album artwork for their 4th album release. The cover shows both members helmets spliced together, as well as the Columbia Records logo.
While this doesn’t give us a ton of information, this confirms that this album is real, and it is coming through American based Columbia. In the past they have been known to release information about the album only shortly before release, so hopefully we will be seeing the release of the album in the near future.
This is a big step in the right direction in the minds of Daft Punk fans, who have had Alive 2007 on repeat for the last 6 years. The wait is almost over, we will finally get some new Daft Punk music since they scored the Tron: Legacy soundtrack.
