The original didn't skimp on the dance factor, with big-time beats and woozy vocal manipulations, but Guetta takes "Alive" straight to the club, reworking the track into a hypnotizing trance journey. Relentless arpeggios give way to uplifting vocals before the drop brings a grimy electro riff underscored by crackling snares.
Guetta's remix of "Alive" is on the Alive Remixes EP, which also features reworked tracks by Mat Zo, M4Sonic and Zedd. It was out May 28th. Empire of the Sun's new album, Ice on the Dune, is due June 18th.
