Au Revoir Simone haven’t released a full-length record since 2009′s breakthrough dreampop oeuvre Still Night, Still Light. Brooklyn trio Au Revoir Simone have released a video for “Somebody Who” off their forthcoming release Move In Spectrums.
The vaguely disquieting clip, from the directing team HARRYS, has all three members standing glassy-eyed and motionless in an empty mansion, singing the song. They look like they’ve been hypnotized, which is weird, since they’re usually the ones doing the hypnotizing.
Move in Spectrums is due out September 23rd in Europe on Moshi Moshi and the following day in the US on Instant Records, and if “Somebody Who” signals the new direction for the band, the forecast is quite bright for the full-length.
