You know the song by now. The naming saga is about as long as the time it took to get released. It was first premiered by Avicii back in November of last year at the DC Armory and was given the fan name “Fuck School”. After a little while it was given the official name “Nicktim”, a clever combination of both producer’s names. When the vocals were added the track was at last given its final name “I Could Be The One”.
While the music video jokes about being stuck at a dead end job, it is clear we live in a society ruled by money, doing things we don’t want, because it will pay our mortgage. Avicii and Nicky Romero do an awesome job talking about society itself, and how we try to just give people medicine, rather than a vacation or a break from reality. Sometimes maybe we just need a trip to Barbados...
