After bursting on to the scene back in 2011 with “Choose Me,” one of the cleanest dubstep songs to date, Xilent has continued to release a steady stream of well-wrought dubstep productions. Recently remixing Ellie Goulding’s “Figure 8″ to impressive results, Xilent has returned with a new original entitled “Boss Wave.”
For the same reason that songs like Doctor P’s “Tetris” and Rusko’s remix of “Bionic Commando” are awesome, Xilent’s “Boss Wave” works off a catchy 8-bit backbone. Arcade and video game synths pervade the track, which is aptly paired with an official music video displaying Xilent inside of a giant robot. “Boss Wave” was released on Audioporn Records.
