From her facebook :"My name is Betina Ignacio and I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil. My mother is a german immigrant and my father is afro-brazilian. I grew up in a mostly poor and lively neighborhood, spending most of the time in the "Favela" (brazilian slum).
At the University I met the german musician Markus Schmidt alias "Marquinho da SIlva" and we immediately began to work together. In the year 2006 we met the brazilian Grammy-award winner and guitar player Luiz Brasil, who produced, co-wrote and played guitar on our first album "Mistura Fina", which we recorded in Salvador da Bahia.
In 2009 Markus and me produced our second album "Mistura Natural" in New York with the help of our dear friend Klaus Mueller
