Karmin’s first single, “Acapella,” off their new album now has an official music video featuring the duo in a variety of bright and bold colors.
The American pop duo Karmin, consisting of engaged couple Amy Heidemann and Nick Louis Noonan, are taking risk in this new era to try to conquer again the music world with some new fresh style. After greeting the world with their debut album “Hello“, published last year, Amy and Nick have been working with some of the producers who collaborated on their first release, among them Claude Kelly, Stargate or Cirkut. The first taste of their upcoming second studio album, still untitled, is the brand new single “Acapella”
The music video for "Acapella" was directed by Matt Stawski, while creative direction and choreography was handled by Richard "Richy Squirrel" Jackson. Filming took place in early June 2013. The treatment for the video was written by band member Amy Heidemann. The visuals of the music video were inspired by 90's music videos the group grew up watching, mostly drawn from director Hype Williams, and artists such as Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, TLC, Brandy and Destiny's Child. Amy and Nick rock red, blue and green color-coordinated outfits and accessories while performing choreographed moves.
