Following the release of Dirty South’s stunning debut album ‘Speed of Life’ earlier this year and the recent Beatport topping success of Alesso’s remix of OneRepublic’s ‘If I Lose Myself’, the pair announced two new remixes of their hit 2012 single ‘City Of Dreams’ featuring Ruben Haze from Showtek and Jacques Lu Cont, alongside a brand new video.
The Showtek remix has been released last week, and the Jacques Lu Cont remix will go out as part of a bundle set for release on 9th July. A video for the original version premieres on VEVO, giving viewers a colourful behind-the-scenes peek of the song’s creation.
The song, originally composed by Ruben Haze, showcases a softer melodic side of the duo, normally famous for their big-room house sound. Dirty South teamed up with hugely talented Swedish DJ & producer Alesso on the rework of the indie track, which is no less than an emotional magnum opus, featuring beautiful builds and aching hooks.
